    Post Airline Schedule Importer 8.4

NC Software is proud to announce a significant update to the airline schedule importer - version 8.4. Version 8.4 adds a new timezone feature for pilot's with trip data in a fixed timezone other than the prior two options of LOCAL and UTC. As pictured below a third option "Custom" is now available where you can specify the timezone of the trip data. The airline schedule importer converts data used for integrations such as Logbook Pro for iPhone, iPad, and Android to UTC which can then be used for calendar integrations and custom time zone options. As described on the schedule importer portal, if LOCAL is specified, each destination OUT and IN time will be converted to the respective timezone based on the airport identifier associated. UTC data will have no conversion applied, and CUSTOM will convert from the user specified timezone to UTC.

If you have any questions please contact us via the help desk. If you have any problems with trip imports please include your trip data, filter used, and specify the timezone setting used.

    Exclamation 8.4.1 and 8.4.2 Revisions

    Airline Schedule Importer 8.4.1:
    • This update improves the handling of Out and In calculations when NON-UTC time zones are used and trips cross midnight UTC (forwards or backwards)

    Airline Schedule Importer 8.4.2:
    • Resolves a bug where OUT and IN times are calculated incorrectly when a NON-UTC time zone is set when importing trip data. This is a CRITICAL issue which will result in the wrong DATE of your OUT/IN time to be calculated and thereby placing the flight on the wrong date if you use calendar integration. If you use UTC as your time zone this issue does not occur, this is only when using a LOCAL or CUSTOM time zone when importing trips. If you use a NON-UTC time zone then you should delete and re-import the trips if using calendar integration. Deleting unsynced data from your app (Android, iPhone, iPad) will remove the calendar entry automatically.
