Hello All,

I want to give everyone an update as to where we are with the next APDL for iOS release (version 7.1) and other development efforts in progress. The last newsletter stated a mid month (typo March should have been April) expected release for 7.1 of APDL. We are in the final phase now of a great enhancement which is going to take us the rest of April to complete and test and then we can push to Apple which is an average 8 day wait period from submission to approval, assuming it will be approved, which it should.

Apple mandated that all apps support the 64 bit ARM64 processor architecture by June 1st so that's a major element of what we had to achieve in this build. It is a major architectural change in the code base but it also is a great change for those with iPhone 5S and 6 series iPhones, iPad Air's and iPad Mini Retina versions which have ARM64 processors. You'll get much better performance from your 64 bit apps which both Logbook Pro and APDL are now fully compliant with.

We have over 100 improvements some you'll see, some are behind the scenes, in this next release. Enhancements to legality, status board, sync, AutoFill, exciting new reports, app performance, stability, data input, timezone updates for mexico changes, charting enhancements with exciting new information, schedule importer enhancements with auto-night support, calendar sync fixes, airport database improvements etc etc etc The list is just too long to convey but the message is we've been working our butts off and we could not be more excited in this 7.1 release that will soon be in your hands.

We had to put a hold on the APDL v6 legacy importer on APDL.net to fix a few issues that came to our attention which we will address after the 7.1 release and get it back open for your use again. Logbook Pro Desktop sync from APDL will be in the next desktop update which we will put out for public beta once we get it to a point, expected release we are shooting for is June. Logbook Pro Mobile updates will come at the same time if not sooner to align new functionality there as well.

Exciting times and we thank you all for your great ideas and feedback but most of all your patience as software development takes a very long time but we are continuing to build a great platform for faster update cycles.

Thank you for your continued support.
