Why do my custom text fields not show in the Windows style logbook view? They are avialble through a drop down box, but I would like to have them show all the time.

There simply isn't enough room is why. The window size was designed for the lower resolution systems in order to fit the screen. Now with larger screens and higher resolutions, we will have this handled differently in version 2 next year.
