APDL does not require a subscription, it is a one time purchase and syncs with Logbook Pro via the PDA Wizard. It sounds like you're referring to Logbook Pro for iPhone/Android which is NOT APDL. We certainly appreciate your business and hope you find a solution that fits within your budget. We do our best to keep our solutions affordable but we certainly can't do what many want and that is provide you software for nothing. You get what you pay for and we hope you'll find the pocket change we're asking from you will provide you great software and service in return.
