Update Service Disabled

Why do I get an error message "Update service is disabled" when I try to check for updates?

It may have been disabled on your machine. Go to your Windows Control Panel, Program Updates, and check the configuration. InstallShield may be performing maintenance so you can try again later/tomorrow to see if it resolves itself, or uninstall/reinstall Logbook Pro.

The latest version can also be checked by viewing the version scroller at the bottom of www.logbookpro.com.
