I have been awaiting this addition for some time. I would like the ability to not only track flight times and approaches made, but Hobbs times and other maintenance items as well.

I too have been waiting, now that version 1.6 is where I want it I can move on with the PDA plans. However, I am going to be very honest here, the PDA versions are not going to handle data differently than the PC version. For example, if Logbook Pro uses decimal value times, i.e. 1.5 for flight time, the PDA will do the same. This is still up in the air as the development is not complete, but that's my plan at the moment. When version 2 comes out with time format options, then the PDA will follow with the same.
