1.7.41 Installation Issue

Hey Gang, Just trying to install the 1.7.40 update and it fails each time prior to installation complete. I believe it is the Microsoft Installer utility that is actually failing though. I'm using WIndows XP and haven't had any problems with installing any other apps or versions of Logbook.

Hi Shane,

Did you uninstall the prior version? It may be blocking the install of the new version. I recommend going to the control panel, uninstalling Logbook Pro, reboot, then run use the Microsoft MSI Clean Up Utility (msicuu) that is in the thread I reference below. Install the MSICUU, run it and see if there are any traces of Logbook Pro that need to be cleaned. Other than that, check your event log (Start...Administrative Tools...Event Viewer) and tell me if there is anything in there related to the Logbook Pro installation that's failing. I'm not sure if maybe you have some protection (anti-virus) blocking the install or not.
