Custom field

I am new to LP and still learning my way around. My question is there a way to create a custom field to keep track of the gallons of fuel used for each flight? I have created a field under expenses for the cost of the fuel and would also like to be able to enter the gallons used? Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Hello,

You could use a custom Counter as long as the values you enter are integers, i.e. 1, 5, 10, 20. Otherwise, you'd have to use a custom text field if you wanted to enter 1.5 gallons, but text fields cannot be summarized.

Thanks for the reply. Are there any thoughts to adding the capibility of entering gallons of fuel used in custom fields and tying it to the time field so we can easily see a history of hourly fuel burned?
