What is the difference between these two file types?

Let me see if I can answer my own question.

.bak is the back-up lbp makes.

.lbk is the active file your logbook is using.

Where is the file located that your logbook uses day-to-day? Is it the .lbk file?

I'm asking all of this because for some reason my logbook reverted back to an old copy and it scared the $hit out of me..

If I restore my log book it asks me to save the new copy, this new file has an .lbk extension ?

.BAK is a compressed file containing your .LBK file. The .LBK file is your routine use data file which stores all of your entered data. The location of this file is denoted on the bottom of the Help...About dialog.
