OLD PALM data in LBP and switching Pocket PC devices

OK, I swithced from a palm device to a Pocket PC device some time ago, I just recently pruchased the LBP software. The Pocket PC device syncs fine. NOW that I have explained what I can do let me explain what I need to do. Before I had the Pocket PC device I used a palm for about a two years, I need to somehow get the Palm Data into LBP, catch is I no longer have a palm device. Is it possible to DIRECTLY import the PALM data into LBP?

Second, I have used two Pocket PC devices, How do I merge the OLD Device Data into the NEW Device. I seem to have all the files from the Palm and former Pocket PC in various places, I can open the detailed reports and various reports in the web form but how do I import the previous Pocket PC data into my current Pocket PC device?

Hello Robert,

You can try using the Logbook Pro 1.10.9 (BETA) new PDA Wizard and select your Palm username. It will actually read in the Palm backup data on your computer, so you may be in luck, as long as the palm username is still registered on the computer.

Please search our APDL FAQ for restoring data to answer your second inquiry.

Ok I followed the instructions to restore my Pocket PC data from previous devices, It worked great..Thanks.. How do I sync the PALM data, I upgraded to the BETA version of LBP, it works great when I sync it to my Pocket PC device. Again thanks, but I still need help,
1. Will I need a PALM device cradled and connected to the PC for me sync the data from my OLD palm files?
2. OR can I somehow restore the PALM data directly to the LPB software without having a device?

Hello,

The device does not need to be cradled, if the Palm data exists in the Palm Username's backup folder, Logbook Pro's PDA Wizard should be able to pick it up.

Ok, I tired the PDA Wizard, It wants me to register the Palm Companion. Do you have a activation code I can use to import the file. I do not have my old Palm activation code. Or will I have to pay for another code to use the Palm campanion?

To use the Palm OS features requires an activation code which can be purchased by clicking here.

I know this is asking for above and beyond customer service but maybe I can send you the Files, one of your support guys imports that data into the LBP 1.10 backup format that I can import without spending $59.00 for a Code I will only use once for importing the data. PLEASE.

Hello,

If you have APDL-Palm OS data, you should have an APDL-Palm OS license. If you require further assistance, please contact sales@nc-software.com. We cannot assist with this issue on a public forum. I received your e-mail inquiry and I asked you for your APDL Palm OS license which you used, no response.
