This is all for payroll.

To have APDL setup for RAH is basic for now. All that really needs to be setup is DHD pay and 4hr min day for SCR.

Deadhead pay of 75%
Go into settings/payroll/Deadhead

Select
Apply to Legality
Apply to Pay
Apply Leg Rig- adjust to read 3:4

SCR 4hr min day
Go into Setting/Payroll/Short-call Reserve

Select
Apply to Flight Time
Apply to Legality
Apply to Pay
Set All Legs to this Type
Minimum Credit - adjust to show 4+00

Set all legs to this type I have setup to make it easier when building or importing a RSV trip than I go back and change my DHD's to Deadhead.

I have not played with automatic legality on SCR much because these past few months I have had a line. But just for information sake I will explain how I setup legality on SCR.

If you have a RSV trip pre awarded on your schedule and get notified prior to your RSV days you still should set payroll on all legs as SCR. With automatic set for legality it will show "117 Reserve" on all the days. This scenario you need to go into all your legs and set legality to "117 un augmented".

If you are in the middle of a RAP depending on the trip length they assign to you, you will need legality on all the legs as "117 reserve" the first day. Set the rest of the legs on your next days to "117 un augmented".

Setting legality

Go into your trip and select the leg. Scroll down to where it says legality for the leg and change it.

Thanks! How would we do our sick pay?

I honestly have not tested that very much.

I just put all my legs on my next 4 day as sick. I have a minimum credit set as 4+00 on the sick payroll. The 1 day that was under 4 hours did not credit me 4 hrs of pay.

The best way to do that at least with this version would be to just delete all legs except 1 leg a day and build it to 4 hours.

With the sick payroll just select apply to pay and that's it.

Let me know how that looks and I will test it further.

Good writeup. However maybe reword the SCR Legality for reserve pilots. Didn't follow it very well. I am on day 3 of 4, RSV. It's a 4 day RSV trip. Each day of my reserve, legality is set to Automatic.....

You mentioned "With automatic set for legality it will show "117 Reserve" on all the days." When I set to automatic, it says automatic, not 117 Reserve.

I created a custom payroll for reassignment pay protection. In my scenario I ran into 100/672 and they removed my first two legs. This will keep my pay for the two legs but will then allow APDL to readjust the show time to the first actual leg.

Actually disregard the RSV legality stuff in my original post. The current build I have found a few issues with the RSV legality/automatic stuff. It's confusing and the presentation part doesn't really seem right at the moment. Just care about the PAYROLL setup for now.

I wrote a thread about it in the BETA forum but it went un noticed. Maybe just because NEIL and CO have been extremely busy or I wrote another confusing write up about it. [emoji12]


Okay the presentation of legality during RSV I think still needs work for multi day trips. No matter if you have a multi day trip assigned during a RAP period or if you are notified of a RSV trip outside of your RAP it doesn't seem to change anything. I have built trips multiple ways and have done different things with payroll selections and such. Basically I have put it through the ringer.


If you go into schedule or calendar select an open day and add SCR RAP or if you were notified outside of your RAP and build it normal and just SCR payroll all days on a multi day trip the legality page shows 117 reserve under reference. No matter how you decide your legality is on each leg (automatic/ 117R/ 117U) or how many days your pairing is. Everyday after day 1 still shows this.

Thanks for the guide. Do you plan on updating this since RAH recently got a new contract with different rules?
