Importing from LogTen Pro - Error

I've been using LogTen Pro for Mac but now have acquired a Windows 7 laptop for travel purposes and would like to use LogBook Pro on the new laptop. Currently evaluating Logbook Pro, but when I try to import data from a tab delimited file from LogTen Pro, all works well EXCEPT when I try to import the Pilot in Command and Second in Command field.

The error I get is 'Invalid Source data'; The target field required a numeric value. An invalid format exists in the source data'. WTH?? .. How can a field which only has the names of the pilots in command and second in command require a numeric value?

Hello,

The PIC and SIC columns in Logbook Pro are for PIC and SIC times only.

Please goto VIEW...OPTIONS...CUSTOM
Click on the Text Fields Tab
Create two text fields (PIC Name, SIC Name)
Click Close
Go back and try to import your data again and select the PIC Name or SIC where you want the names.
