How about calculating Time Away From Base for a whole trip and not just the day (the foot print of the trip)? Two day trip would be around 48 hours based on trip start and trip end (4 days = 90 something hours).
Perhapse have a way to tie a number of days together as a whole for some calculations like TAFB and trip hour pay.
