"Update service disabled"

Hey guys,

I have a registered copy of LBP, currently version 1.9.8.1. I'd like to upgrade to version 1.9, but I'm unable to since every time I click on "Check for updates" off the start menu or select the update option within LBP, I get the message "Update service disabled". Is there any way to fix this? I suppose I could download the full program off the LBP site, but I'm worried it will perform a clean install, possibly overwriting my LBP data files and/or losing my registration code. Can you help?

Hello Dan,

You can download the full version and install it over top your old version, data files are never involved in install or uninstalls.

We don't know what causes this and are still investigating it with InstallShield.
