Drop Down Boxes from the keyboard

I would like to do all my data entry from the keyboard. When I tab into a field in either the "Windows Style" or the"Spreadsheet" style logbook I cannot figure out how to make a selectionusing the keyboard. Is there a way? How?

Use Windows Standard keyboard control which is the F4 button to drop down a list, then arrow keys to select, enter to select the item and tab to move out. We are going to focus more on 'hands on data entry' in version 2 as we never realized the desire to stay on the keyboard 100%, but many are you like you and want this.
