Monthly Schedule & date book

Hey All,

Recently discovered the date book feature with APDL and tried to use it.

When I changed my preferences to use the date book feature, everything seemed to post on the date book calender OK except that all of the times seemed to be in UTC time. Obviously, flights won't appear properly on the calender when posted according to UTC time vs domicile time. What needs to be changed to display the date book flights with local dept time? (FYI, logbook time is UTC, Domicile time is UTC-5 and schedule is imported in local time.)

Thanks for the help

John Moreland

John,

All datebook enteries are in your 'Logbook' timezone.

Paul,

I was afraid that would be the answer.

Perhaps a selectable time zone choice for the date book function could be a future enhancement. As it stands now, my log is in UTC time because that is what I pull off of the ACARS when the aircraft moves or stops. With only the UTC time as a choice for the date book, the date book feature is unusable to me.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

John,

We will add the 'time zone choice' idea to our list of possible future enhancements.
