• Apple released it's annual update - iOS 17 for both iPhones and iPads. After preliminary testing we see no issues with both Logbook Pro and APDL on iOS 17. We will continue our thorough testing with the public release and follow up should we find any issues.

Hello;
I ran the upgrade patch to get me to 1.9.8.5. Was running 1.9.8. And now LBPro won't launch. The task shows as running, but no software starts.

What do I do now??? Please help...

Hello,

Please refer to this article in our FAQ forum below.

That did it! Would love to know why I had to run a Repair option on it, but it did take care of the problem.

Thanks!

A 'repair' is simply telling the Windows MSI engine to reinstall the software. We are not sure why this is occuring on upgrades from 1.9.8/1.9.8.1 but believe it is related to an issue with the new Windows Installer engine from Microsoft which 1.9.8.5 uses.

Glad you're up and running. The issue is only a nuisance, nothing more.

Got one for ya. Just downloaded the new 1.9.8.5 and tried to install it. The install started and an error popped up 1607 unable to install Install Shield Scripiting Runtime.
