Events Functionality Linked To Currencies

I have several events I must maintain (other than instrument approaches and hours based events) in order to remain current. Currently I have these recorded under History and then subsequently linked to a Currency. Each time I complete an event I have to set the History date to the date completed. What would simplify the process is if there was an Events column in the logbook which had a customizeable popup window (similar to the Approaches & Type column) which I could simply select all the events completed during that sortie and it would update my currencies to reflect.
