Sound during start-up

I'm not sure how it happened but I lost the start-up sound. The disable box is not checked and my sound is working with other programs. The only changes I can think of is when I upgraded to ver 1.8. I do have kids that use the computer so anything is possible.
Any ideas?

The only thing I can suggest is click the check box, close Options, click the checkbox so it's the way you want it and close the Options and see if the sound returns!!! /forums/emoticons/smile.gif
